Overview

A DSL Indicating Lamp is an essential safety and signaling device used in EOT cranes, gantry cranes, and overhead hoists. It provides visual indication of crane or hoist status, helping operators, supervisors, and ground personnel monitor the operational state of the equipment. These lamps are typically integrated with Drum Style Limit (DSL) Systems to signal when the crane or hoist reaches its pre-set upper or lower limits, ensuring safe load handling and preventing accidents.

Key Features

            • High Visibility: Bright, clear indication of crane or hoist status.
            • Durable Design: Suitable for harsh industrial environments.

            • Safety Enhancement: Alerts operators before mechanical or operational limits are exceeded.

            • Easy Integration: Connects seamlessly with DSL systems and crane control circuits.

            • Low Maintenance: Long-lasting performance with minimal servicing.

How It Works

The DSL Indicating Lamp functions by:

  • Being connected to the crane’s DSL limit switch or control circuit.

  • When the crane hook or trolley reaches a pre-set limit, the limit switch triggers the lamp to light up, providing a clear visual alert.

  • The lamp remains illuminated until the operator resets the system or moves the crane back within the safe range.

  • This system provides instant awareness, preventing over-travel, overload, or unsafe operations.

By offering a clear, visible warning, the DSL Indicating Lamp enhances operational safety and minimizes the risk of mechanical damage or accidents.
