Overview
An AC Solenoid Brake is an electromechanical device specially designed to control and stop the motion of cranes, hoists, and other industrial machinery. It operates using alternating current (AC) and provides fast, reliable, and smooth braking performance. This type of brake is commonly used in EOT cranes, hoists, conveyors, and other material handling equipment, ensuring safety and precision in industrial operations.

Key Features
-
Electromagnetic Precision: Ensures smooth and quick braking response.
-
Fail-Safe Design: Brake automatically engages when power is off.
-
Compact & Sturdy Build: Designed for long life and low maintenance.
-
High Efficiency: Quick release and instant braking for heavy-duty cranes.
-
Reliable in Harsh Conditions: Works efficiently under high temperature and load variations.
How It Works
The AC Solenoid Brake works on the principle of electromagnetic force:
-
When an electric current passes through the solenoid coil, it generates a magnetic field that pulls the armature plate.
-
This movement releases the brake shoes or disc, allowing the crane to move freely.
-
When the power supply is cut off, the spring mechanism pushes the brake shoes back, instantly applying the brake and stopping the motion.
This automatic, fail-safe operation ensures complete control and safety even during a sudden power failure.
