Overview

A Lever Limit Switch is an essential safety and control device used in cranes, hoists, and material handling systems to control the movement limits of the equipment. It ensures accurate stopping and safe operation by automatically cutting off power when the crane or hoist reaches its maximum or minimum travel position. Designed for durability and precision, this switch protects both the equipment and the operator from potential damage or accidents.

Key Features

    • Safety Assurance: Prevents over-travel and mechanical damage.

    • Accurate Motion Control: Provides precise limit detection for cranes and hoists.
    • Heavy-Duty Design: Built to withstand rough industrial use and vibrations.

    • Easy Installation: Simple lever mechanism for quick setup and maintenance.

    • Reliable Performance: Works efficiently under varying load and temperature conditions.

How It Works

The Lever Limit Switch operates through a mechanical lever arm mechanism connected to the moving part of the crane:

  • As the crane hook, trolley, or bridge moves, it comes in contact with the lever arm of the switch.

  • When the lever arm is actuated, it activates the internal electrical contacts, which either open or close the circuit controlling the motor.

  • This instantly stops or reverses the motion, ensuring the crane does not move beyond the safe limit.

This simple yet effective mechanism provides accurate position sensing and prevents over-travel or collision, maintaining operational safety.
